On This Page

This policy explains what Stake4Life Ltd. does with information you give us through this website. We are based at Rosegreen, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, Ireland, and we are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect

From the enquiry form on our contact page: your name, email address, and optionally your county, the product you are asking about, an approximate quantity, the message itself, and the code of any deal you are claiming.

From the newsletter registration form: your email address, and optionally your name, your farm or business name, your county and the topics you asked to hear about. We record that you ticked the consent box, so we can show when and how you opted in.

Our web server keeps ordinary technical logs, such as the pages requested and the time of the request. These are used to keep the site running and secure.

We do not run advertising trackers, analytics profiling or social media pixels on this site, and we do not set cookies for marketing purposes.

Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation for you.
  • To supply and deliver goods you order, and to keep the records a business is required to keep.
  • To keep the website available and protect it from misuse.
  • To send you deals and news, if you registered for the newsletter and only until you unsubscribe.

The legal basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract with you, or for our legitimate interest in running a secure website. For the newsletter, the legal basis is your consent, which you gave by ticking the box and which you can withdraw at any time.

The newsletter

Registering for the newsletter is optional, and it is not a condition of buying from us. We send exclusive deals, new products and delivery news a few times a season. We do not sell, rent or swap the list, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to info@stake4.life at any time. We remove you the same working day, and keep only a note that you asked to be removed so you are not added again by mistake. We do not send marketing email to people who enquired but did not register.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your details, and we do not pass them to third parties for their own marketing. We share information only where it is needed to do the job: for example, giving a delivery address to the haulier bringing your order, or giving records to our accountants and to public authorities where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become orders are kept for up to 12 months, so we can pick up the thread if you come back to us. Records relating to actual orders are kept for the period required by Irish tax and company law. Newsletter registrations are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a short period and then discarded.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018 you may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to erase it, or object to our using it. Write to info@stake4.life or to the postal address above and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Commission, the supervisory authority for Ireland.

Security

Enquiries are transmitted over an encrypted connection, and access to them is limited to the people in the business who need to answer them.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes we will update this page and the review date at the top. Questions about it should go to info@stake4.life.
